The piercing nozzle, a POK® product, is designed to access and extinguish fires in closed rooms. This is a very useful tool for the Fire Brigade in particular when they face fires that they do not visualize in premises, where the creation of a draft would be particularly dangerous.
The end perforates the wall opening a passage through it. The diffuser head is then introduced into the burning room and connected to the pressurised water supply hose and shut-off valve. Numerous holes oriented in all directions ensure spherical diffusion, quickly suffocating the fire.
Maritime transport is increasingly used with ships that can accommodate a large number of containers. Thus, fire safety on board is essential to ensure the durability of goods. This is why POK offers a 250 or 460 l/min piercing nozzle to intervene quickly on a nascent fire in a container, without the need to open it. This prevents the fire from spreading to the ship.
This product is composed of the diffuser head which directs the water directly into the fire by fine water droplets. This method allows the temperature of the container to be lowered and the fire to be contained quickly. In addition, the low water consumption reduces water damage. It is a 2 in 1 system which does not require the use of an axe, it is the tip of diffusion of the lance which comes to create the hole in the container with the help of mass blows on the hoof of the lance. Thus, the hole is optimized for the nozzle and there is no additional oxygen supply to feed the fire.
